Challenge: Elevating International Presence
Following our success in bringing Humankind to a global audience, we continue to help Rutger towards successful international book launches. With the campaign around Moral Ambition, Rutger needed to raise his international profile and establish his credibility as an authority in this field. Rutger also needed our video editing & social media expertise to capitalise on the existing video materials in his catalog (TED, Trevor Noah, etc.), and required a long term content calendar & production. We were also trusted with the launch of Rutger’s movement in the American market as he expands his scope.
Solution: Expanding and Maximising Content Catalog
We went through the extensive library of Rutger Bregman content and strategically excavated snippets that could be tailored to the different platform specifications and posted. Initially, we created original content by conducting three video interviews with Rutger for further material with a coordinated direction, also steering more traffic towards Rutger’s website. We then used the collaboration functions on social platforms to introduce Rutger to BrightVibes’ 1.8M followers. Further collaborations will be explored to keep reaching new audiences, such as the video we created about Moral Ambition for Purpose Day, a platform and community that focuses on social impact-driven entrepreneurship.
For Rutger’s American launch, we were tasked with creating a sizzle reel. This exciting project helped bring name recognition and awareness to Rutger’s campaign.
This reel was used as the main header on his revamped website. Shared on the website, LinkedIn, and Instagram, our reel served as the centerpiece of his launching campaign and garnered tens of thousands of views.
Impact: Substantial Growth and Engagement
We immediately witnessed a significant increase in views and (positive) engagement, and grew his Instagram following by 11K in 7 weeks (11% growth). Our first 6 videos totaled 998K views, which doubled the average video views prior to our engagement.
Just like our promotion for Humankind, which totaled 2.3M views, our content strategy played a role in Moral Ambition becoming a national bestseller in The Netherlands shortly after release, with our sights set on achieving the same result when launching internationally. The foundation for a successful launch of the book has been set with the reel to increase brand awareness and launch The School for Moral Ambition.
