Challenge: Increase Awareness, Recruit Applicants
The IGNITE awards wanted to broadcast that they are back for another edition and wanted to build on last year’s success. The awareness did not only need to be increased in the general public, but also within the social entrepreneur community. This goal was established to ensure as many applicants as possible. Within that community, two target groups were established: dreamer to starter, and starter to stayer. Both of these groups needed to be represented in the participant pool.
Solution: Collaboration The Happy Activist, Communicate Holistic Value
In order to maximize our audience, we collaborated with The Happy Activist. With our combined audience around 3.5M, we could communicate the message to a diverse base. The content that was created in collaboration was edited for The Happy Activist and BrightVibes to reflect the same message and optimize for the specific needs of our audiences. We selected past participants and conducted interviews to discuss their experiences. In a series of 3 videos, we then shared their stories and initiatives to showcase the value of the IGNITE program. We showed how much progress they achieved through the network and lessons attained under the project. Besides these long term benefits, initiatives also compete for cash prizes (30-50-100K).
Impact: Successful Partnerships Leading Increased Traffic
Our partnership plan drew a crowd, with each initiative video averaging a reach of 82K. There was a total reach of 248K, with BrightVibes being responsible for 145K of the total. This garnered over 192K video views. Through this campaign, we created 1.8K direct clicks to the IGNITE website. This, together with our network, ensured relevant initiatives applying for IGNITE, helping in the efforts to make this one of the biggest editions so far. Due to our videos, the past participants also received a huge boost in valuable exposure, extending the benefits to long after the conclusion of the award.
