Graphic designer Tom Ward gives a modern twist to some of Disney‘s most beloved characters to shed light on today’s world.

Artist imagines how Disney characters would cope the modern world

Graphic designer Tom Ward has used his incredible illustration talent to show us a new perspective on modern life through popular Disney characters. "Disney characters are so iconic that I thought transporting them to our modern world could help us see it through new eyes," he told Metro. He said he wanted to bring to life ‘the times we live in and communicate topical issues in a relatable way’. Follow Tom on Facebook and Instagram.

In terms of which illustration Tom sees as having the strongest message, he gets most upset over his piece in which depicts Winnie the Pooh’s Tigger, The Lion King’s Simba and Shere Khan all having been taken from their natural environments and forced to perform for the entertainment of humans. For Tom it speaks volumes as this is something that sadly happens to animals all over the world. ‘They sit with a quiet dignity but long to be free,’ Tom told Metro.
