When Jared Mollenkopf sat down to write his first blog post outlining his weight loss journey, he weighed in at a staggering 510lbs (227kgs). Just fifteen months later and he had lost an incredible 300lbs (136kgs) and completely transformed his life, both inside and out — all thanks to the power of yoga, and a former wrestler named Diamond Dallas Page. The following is Jared’s touching and emotional testimony.

It’s a familiar story. Like many of us, Jared Mollenkopf had struggled with his weight all his life. For as long as he could remember, food had been a go-to source of comfort and stress relief, especially when he was bullied about his weight.
For years, his doctors had warned him that his obesity would kill him, causing a heart attack or stroke. Despite knowing intellectually he had to change his lifestyle, deep down he felt too hopeless and far gone to make the changes necessary.
Then one day, just after his 40th birthday, something… clicked. He doesn’t know exactly what triggered the change in his mindset, but on the day he started his yoga journey, he knew that he wanted to live.
Jared cut all sugar and processed foods from his diet and began to practice yoga daily with the Diamond Dallas Page online yoga videos. At first, he had trouble even lowering himself to the ground and had to turn the video off after only a few minutes. But as any new yoga practitioner will soon discover, yoga has the power to change your mind as much as your body.
Instead of quitting altogether, Jared began to take breaks as-and-when he needed to catch his breath, before joining back in with the video after a few moments. Soon enough, he began to see changes in his body as he steadily started to built more strength, flexibility and stamina.

Arthur Boorman was a disabled veteran of the Gulf War for 15 years, and was told by his doctors that he would never be able to walk on his own, ever again.
He stumbled upon an article about former all-in wrestler Diamond Dallas Page doing Yoga and decided to give it a try — he couldn’t do traditional, higher impact exercise, so he tried DDP YOGA and sent an email to Dallas telling him his story.
Dallas was so moved by his story, he began emailing and speaking on the phone with Arthur throughout his journey – he encouraged Arthur to keep going and to believe that anything was possible. Even though doctors told him walking would never happen, Arthur was persistent. He fell many times, but kept going.
Arthur was getting stronger rapidly, and he was losing weight at an incredible rate! Because of DDP’s specialized workout, he gained tremendous balance and flexibility — which gave him hope that maybe someday, he’d be able to walk again.
His story is proof, that we cannot place limits on what we are capable of doing, because we often do not know our own potential. Niether Arthur, nor Dallas knew what he would go on to accomplish, but this video speaks for itself. In less than a year, Arthur completely transformed his life. If only he had known what he was capable of, 15 years earlier.
