HOW ROB GREENFIELD’S STOLEN BAMBOO BIKE TURNED A BAD DEED INTO GOOD
When Rob Greenfield had his beloved bamboo bicycle stolen, instead of getting angry and vowing revenge on the thief, in typical fashion for kind-hearted Rob, his response to the situation was to see how he could turn his misfortune into something positive for others. Within hours Rob had launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to buy 10 new bikes for children who had also suffered the crushing blow of having theirs stolen. In the end, Rob raised enough to buy 50 bikes for kids. What’s more, with the help of the community he soon tracked down his own missing bike, along with the man who stole it. Rob hugged the thief and talked to him at great length. Check out our original article HERE.
SPECTACULAR RESCUE BY MALIAN IMMIGRANT WHO SAVES A DANGLING TODDLER BY SCALING UP 4 STOREYS IN PARIS
Malian immigrant, Mamadou Gassama, saved the child’s life by scaling up four floors in 30 seconds.
When the French President Macron heard of Mamadou Gassama heroic act, he invited him over for a face-to-face meeting.
One day when he was on his way with his girlfriend to watch the Champions League final, he heard people shouting. When he saw the four year old toddler dangling from the balcony on the fourth floor, he did not think twice. Within 30 seconds he climbed to the fourth floor of the building and was able to bring the child into safety.
“I felt afraid when I saved the child,” he said, according to French news reports. “I started to shake, I could hardly stand up. I had to sit down.”
Mamadou had yearned to secure the requisite documentation to live legally in France, and his dream came true.
The French President Emmanuel Macron told Mamadou that he will be rewarded for his "exceptional act" with papers to legalise his stay in France, citizenship if he wants, and a job as a firefighter. Check out our original article HERE.
