Quadpack and Life Terra: Planting hope by working together to restore our planet

One of Life Terra’s recent company plantings in Germany included an event day with the international beauty packaging manufacturer Quadpack.

Life Terra is a foundation with a mission to enable people to take impactful climate action now. They facilitate tree planting, educate future generations, and develop tree monitoring technology. 

Planting trees together, and doing something good for someone else is the foundation of their ethos. In this case, German landowner Frank König. Rising temperatures and droughts have affected over 500,000 hectares of Germany’s forests as they’ve become vulnerable to attacks by bark beetles.*source: German Aerospace Center 2022

Life Terra organised a company planting event in Germany with the international packaging manufacturer Quadpack. This company is acting with purpose, to have a positive impact on our environment. Quadpack employees from around the world donated to this project to help restore this family forest of a Quadpack colleague that is affected by climate change. The local forestry office provided great support and ensured the quality of the planting.

König has maps of the land from 1840 and that is how long it has been family property. “I can really say that I have been going into the forest for 35 years and very intensively. Absolute pain. Absolutely real pain. Today we are standing here in the forest with a lot of employees and our boss. And we are planting 2200 trees today. And it really makes me very happy.”

And with the help of citizens, volunteers and companies who want to plant with them, they try to facilitate this.
