Jack Black’s Sweet Encounter with Abraham

Ibraham is a 16-year-old boy who suffers from a rare mitochondrial disease called Pearson Syndrome. He has undergone treatment at TrinityKids Care, a facility that provides palliative care to children with life-limiting illnesses.

At the charity event, Abraham’s mom, Veronica, introduced him to Jack Black, telling him how much her son loved ‘School of Rock’ and its songs. Black took Abraham’s hand, thanked him, and asked him about his favorite part of the movie.

Abraham began to sing “The Legend of the Rent,” which made Black laugh and smile wide. Black then joined in, singing the song with him and making guitar noises. The emotion on Black’s face was palpable as he sang, and he clearly enjoyed the moment with Abraham. At the end of the interaction, Black played a little air guitar for Abraham, thanked him, and said goodbye.

“Such a wonderful person!!” Veronica wrote in the Instagram video caption. “Such joy in Abraham’s face as he heard him sing!!” The video later earned over 75,000 upvotes on Reddit and brightened many people’s days.
