Young artist upcycles old tyres into Pet Beds That Are as Cute as They Are Eco-Friendly

Silva now has 16,000 Instagram followers and demand for the beds is high

Amarildo Silva lives in Paraíba, Brazil. During the day he works as a store cashier, but what has captured the world’s attention is his simple, yet valuable, contribution to sustainability.

According to Silva’s Instagram page, he started his own business, called Caominhas Pets Oficial, to sell his upcycled pet beds in Brazil.

First, he collects all the tyres he can find, thoroughly cleans them, paints them (complete with different motifs, along with the pet’s name), and then adds a homemade cushion and pillow. Silva keeps his 16,000 Instagram followers up-to-date on the his eco-friendly projects with regular posts.
