ALICANTE’S FREE CHAT CHAIRS… KEEPING PEOPLE CONNECTED
The Spanish city of Alicante provides 50+ free chairs on its famous Explanada for locals and visitors alike to sit in the shade and chat.
The chat chairs on the Esplanade have become an instant hit in Alicante at the foot of the palm trees. The Alicante City Council has commissioned more than 20 double chairs to meet the demand of users in the face of the arrival of good weather. With the improvement of the temperature, they have become popular for meetings of neighbours and tourists alike. They are made from premium beech wood, which has structural resistance, safety, durability and stability, and is certified guaranteed to come from sustainable forest management practices.
