Adidas will produce shoes that are made from waste plastic that has been found in sea.

Adidas and Parley for the Oceans have collaborated on a shoe that shows innovative solutions to some of today’s biggest environmental problems.

Our oceans are filled with plastic which doesn’t belong there of course. So what better material to make a shoe out of than the waste that is polluting the environment? That must have been the train of thought of Adidas. The brand started collaborating with Parley for the Oceans to create a new sneaker, made out of plastic waste for about 95%.

7000 pairs of shoes are released for a mere 200 dollars.

But that is just the tip of the iceberg of wat Adidas has in store. Literally. They want to create at least 1 million pairs of these sneakers before the end of 2017.

In the long run, their goal is to only use old plastic as material.

Only creativity and collaboration will end ocean plastic pollution.
