BrightVibes Special Online Live Event for World Mental Health Day 10 October 2024

The Art of Well-Being: Thriving Creatively While Tackling Global Issues

Next week, on October 10th, is World Mental Health Day. This year’s theme is “Mental health at work”, a topic we can all learn and benefit from. Current trends are suggesting that everybody will soon be returning to their offices, so we should prepare to be in these high-demand environments once again. It can be difficult to stay positive while facing concerning issues that keep asking more from us. How do we stay resilient? Creative under Fire, the latest release by Mark Woerde which you can download for free here, gives us a toolkit to make our own impact sustainable. In light of this, there will be a BrightVibes Special, bringing experts to you with all the best tips.

BrightVibes Special Live Event on October 10th

On October 10th, World Mental Health Day, BrightVibes will host a Special live event for innovators, entrepreneurs, creatives, and those facing the biggest challenges of our time. This event is designed to explore one critical question: How can we maintain our mental health while driving meaningful change in the world? With a focus on high-impact sectors like creative industries, social innovation, and mental health advocacy, the conversation will delve into practical strategies for thriving under pressure. Our expert panel will share insights on preventing burnout, sustaining creative energy, and fostering resilience in the face of long-term challenges. This BrightVibes Special live event  for World Mental Health Day will offer essential tools for balancing personal well-being with the pursuit of impactful solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. Meet Our Expert Panel: Innovators and Mental Health Advocates

For the best possible event for our beloved audience, we have a very exciting lineup of experts:

Of course, none other than BrightVibes founder Michiel de Gooijer will be there to share his insights. From his own story to the importance of a healthy media diet, Michiel is here to amplify the good.

As an event inspired by Creative under Fire, its author Mark Woerde will also be joining the discussion. He has learned many lessons following his famous work, including the Sweetie project. These high-impact, but high-stress, projects showed him the good and the bad of social change. Mark will expand on the tips found in his free book.

We are also excited to host Mariam Ikassrien, a member of the Board of Direction at MindUS. Here she focuses on (youth) mental health initiatives, helping us stay resilient. She is also a finalist as youth representative, an amazing accomplishment which you can support here. Mariam will help us with resilience and an inter-generational perspective.

To complete this fantastic group we are excited to announce that Lotte Prins, chair of the National Youth Council, will also engage in the dialogue. Lotte, who has been in national youth policy roles since she was 16, has extensive experience activating and engaging groups in the fight against the world’s challenges. Facing this every day, she will share her best tips on how to take a break, and how to get others to join the cause.

If you’ve ever felt the weight of burnout while trying to make a difference, this event is for you. By attending, you’ll gain actionable strategies for maintaining your mental health, improving productivity, and sustaining creativity in challenging work environments. It’s an opportunity to learn from leading experts, gain valuable insights, and join a community of like-minded individuals committed to making a lasting impact without sacrificing personal well-being.
