Can you scare people into being litter-conscious? That’s precisely what App developer Macpaw have been trying to figure out with their #CleanMyCity prank, which they say draws inspiration from one of their computer software junk-cleaner apps. Whenever unsuspecting folks would drop a piece of litter onto the pile, the “junk” would suddenly rise up and chase them back. Macpaw say this simple idea helped them draw attention to their #CleanMyCity urban cleanups.
