Johnny Depp put on his tricorn and cutlass to visit a children’s hospital.
Depp found time during filming the latest instalment of Pirates of the Caribbean, ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’, to make a surprise visit to patients at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, Australia.
Joined by British actor Stephen Graham, Depp visited the oncology and neurology wards at the hospital.
The pair spent over half an hour speaking to patients, including Bella Harry, a young girl who has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer.
The star has done this before. After his daughter was admitted to Great Ormond Street Hospital in 2007 with e.coli poisoning and kidney failure, Depp was so grateful for the help she received that he donated £1 million and appeared as Sparrow two years later.
