Wind produces 140% of Denmark’s energy needs
This is fantastic news. Back in July 8th, Denmark created enough energy purely from wind power, that they were able to meet their own energy needs and export to Sweden, Norway and Germany.
The best thing is that, according to a website that shows minute-by-minute accounts of energy production, the turbines weren’t even operating at their full capacity.
"A world powered 100 percent by renewable energy is no fantasy" said Oliver Joy from the European Wind Energy Association. Wind power is such a simple solution, and now we have proof that it really does work.
